Khatta Meetha is an Indian vegetarian restaurant that is located in South Delhi’s famous and oh-so-crowded Sarojini Nagar Market. Recently on a shopping spree with mother and kids we were looking for a place to sit and grab a bite. Khatta Meetha is one of the very few joints here that are pure veg and have seating arrangement. A working air-conditioner was another reason we chose to eat here. It’s a simple fuss free neighborhood kinda restaurant with North Indian, South Indian and Desi-Chinese food options.

We ordered choley bhature, tikki choley, veg noodles and momos. Choley bhature though tasted fine didn’t look good. The bhaturas had a soggy texture that was a slight disappointment. We have had much better experience at Om Sweets  and at many other places. Tikki choley was the best item out of the four dishes we ordered. We can go to Khatta Meetha again just to have their tikki choley. This was a plate of absolutely delightful, freshly made tikki topped with very little choley and sweet and tangy chutneys. All of us loved it. Veg noodles and momos were also good. Kids certified these.

Their credit card machine didn’t work for a good ten minutes and we ended up paying by cash.

We would recommend Khaata Meetha to vegetarians who like to eat street food in a cleaner, hygienic and AC restaurant.
