Unless it is a deer, being a stag was a bit of an issue a while back. But of late, it seems that Mr. Stag is having a great time.

To give a brief background, the weather up north is just amazing. No wonder it is party season cum and travel time too. And sometimes we have to combine both!  Like we travelled to Ranthambore last week and ushered in the New Year there with a grand party at the hotel. To this end, we were looking for fuss free clothes that looked nice, plus were pocket-friendly, plus easy maintenance during travel. Tall order don’t you think?

Not any more, only if you go online and the world is your shopping mall. We went through various websites – many international and liked what we saw. Yet our shopping carts were empty. In this process we came across Mr. Stag (http://www.mrstag.com).  The website looked smart and it seemed like a new kid on the block. This stoked our curiosity and we went on to explore the site. Here is what we liked.

For one, Mr. Stag deals with men’s clothes only. This perhaps explains the cockiness in the brand name. So our effort was already cut down multiple times. They were offering top wear, bottom wear and accessories. We checked their top wear and found T-shirts, shirts and even kurtas in bright and happy colours. This was a proudly Indian brand if you please with a wide selection in each item and scouring through their pages was fun. Take t-shirts. They carry half sleeves, full sleeves, the classic plain T as well as the graphic t-shirts. In fact, they had the latest Thumbhole t-shirts too. Quirky to classics, they had all aesthetes covered.

They offer  the whole gamut for bottom wear as well. We found jeans, trousers, joggers and shorts. These wear available in a host of design, colour and price-range. It was simply a happy men’s market place.

By this time we were spoilt for choice. Everything was very affordable and there was no pinch anywhere. We selected a couple of t-shirts which were slightly less casual and would work for athleisure or during an evening out. These items really helped during our latest travel. Since they were light, we could use them without a care during our rough safaris in Ranthambore. The look however was subtle and classy and worked perfectly for the party night.
