Venue: Pragati Maidan

It’s party time for book worms. The Delhi World Book Fair 2013 happened from 4th to 10th February at Pragati Maidan. There were thousands of stalls from Indian – established and little known publishers as well as foriegn participants. France was the focus country this year.

In today’s day and age of Flipkart, one doesn’t need to visit a book store. However the sheer joy of flipping through a book and lucrative discounts (in that order) ensures that Book Fairs are not passe. It was a fun sight to see shopping carts meant for groceries & provisions, carry books.

That said, technology made its presence felt by way of audiobooks & epublishing and the like.

Given the expanse of this event we strongly recommend two full day visits.
