Date: 9th April 2018
Venue: Greater Kailash 1 (GK1)
Greater Kailash 1 (GK 1) is the latest zone in Delhi NCR that is fast developing into a food hub. The markets here are now home to various cuisines from across the globe. One of the new kids on the block is Tanoshii Trail. They bring Japanese, Korean and other Asian food to GK 1.
The décor has stucco work in Japanese themes. But the novelty is that they have a conveyor belt that runs from the kitchen to the various tables. The conveyor belt carries the food items to the diners. This concept is bound to be a hit with many.
We had soup, salad some rice and noodles and chicken here. They are yet to start on proper sushi so we made do with some fruit and vegetable sushi. The dessert was our comfort zone – brownie and ice cream.
We thought their take on Asian food is very Delhi. Nothing unfamiliar but it is a variety from butter chicken dinner. Like hakka noodles that were more like chow mein. While the Chinese would cringe on our version of their food, we in India love it. We totally own this dish. If you are a fan of chow mein or chilli chicken or likes of Chinese chaat – Tanoshii Trail is your place.
