Given the popular demand, for the benefit of our dear followers, we thought of a post on the best mode to celebrate the brief spell of spring that we experience in India. This is year we discovered the Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) hosted by Dineout.
To give a brief background, people in Delhi NCR love being outdoors to enjoy the last spell of winter / onset of spring. These outings more often than not culminate in dinner at a nice place. It could be it at a regular restaurant or an indulgent luxury dining experience. In fact, many foodies look forward to this phase for trying various restaurants that have in their list. But then, the wines and dines take a toll too. The commercials involved in the process could lead to a reeling head and burn a biggish hole in the pocket. Given that our focus is on pocket friendly options to eat one’s heart out, and quite literally so, Dineout’s promotion is quite about that.
Dineout has come up with the #MonthofMore concept where restaurant bookings made through the Dineout application can lead to stupendous savings. Let’s take an example. If the restaurant bill is, let’s assume, Rs. 7000, by using offers by Dineout, you’ll just have to pay Rs. 2325 for that. No, we too did not believe this at the first go. But slowly, we looked at it step by step.
Here’s what you have to do.
Firstly, sign up on the Dineout app and get Rs. 500 in your wallet. Now you refer a friend and get Rs. 200 more. Go on and add, let’s say, Rs. 2000 in the wallet, you get 5% more of that amount. So now you have Rs. 2800 in your wallet (500+200+2100). So now, after spending Rs. 2000, you have earned Rs. 800 extra.
Second step – buy two 50% off total bill deals of, for instance, Rs. 50 and use your HDFC Debit/Credit card to pay for that to get 50% cashback upto Rs. 75 on the booking fee. Wait, there are more savings to come.
Next, you pay the total bill through Dineout Pay and you’ll get another 20% cashback of upto Rs. 300 on that.
So now for a bill of Rs. 7000, you’ll have to pay Rs. 2325 for that. Here’s the math:
Total Bill: Rs. 7000
You spend:
Price of the deal for 2 (50+50) Rs. 100
(-) 20% Dineout cashback Rs. 20
(-) 50% HDFC Cashback upto Rs. 75 Rs. 50
Your Rs. 100 deals cost you just Rs. 30!
After the 50% deal: Rs. 3500
(-) Pay 25% of your bill post the deal through earnings: Rs. 875
(-) 20% cashback upto Rs. 300 when you pay through Dineout Pay: Rs. 300
Bill to be paid: Rs. 2325
It does look incredible. Moreover, Dineout has 6000+ restaurants on board covering 11 cities. The MonthofMore deal by Dineout makes things so much easier and we don’t need to stick to a place. We are travelling to Kolkata and Hyderabad this month but we can still eat to glory wherever we are.
Needless to say, Dineout’s MonthofMore offer will make you eat your heart out this season of romantic dinners. In fact, it is a great offer for any foodie who wants to enjoy the last leg of chill with some dining extravagance without worrying about the soaring card bills.
After all, Dineout calls it the Great Indian Restaurant Festival not for nothing.
THIS sounds like a dream come true to me because my husband and I eat out A TON!
The Dineout deals are for happy folks like yourselves 🙂
Sounds like a good thing. Probably not for me but good idea!
This sounds awesome. We definitely do eat out a lot but always have budget in mind so I love the idea of being able to do more!
GIRF is really a “BIG Deal”
What a great app! I like to dine out, but don’t do it often because of cost and kids. This would certainly make it easier to do.
I wish we had something like Dineout that we could use here. It sounds like a great way to save while enjoying some great food.
This time Dineout gave a real bonanza.
This reminds me of Restaurant Weeks we have here in various cities. It’s a great way to enjoy delicious food for a lot less than you would normally spend.
Agree. If you get to know of any Restaurant Week, please keep us posted.
What an amazing deal! We dine out quite a bit and tips like this will save us a ton of money. I’m so excited to figure out what to have for dinner.
Looks like a great app for food with an excellent price. Thanks for sharing this post.

The restaurant partners in Kolkata are not very great.
