Venue: Dilli Haat INA
Date: 1 November 2014
We were surprised to listen on radio about a pet fair being organised at Dilli Haat. Being a hub for craft fairs and cultural programmes, it was quite unusual to hear about a pet fair being held here. This was reportedly the first pet convention in India. It brought different kinds of people to this beautiful venue and also broke the monotony for regular visitors.
As we entered Dilli Haat we saw many proud owners with their dogs in all sizes and breeds. From cute to ferocious to “OMG-is-that-a-dog”, there were all breeds of dogs, with their wag and woof, making the most of their dogs’ day out.
The fair brought together many small businesses, makers of dog food, dog dresses, pet shampoos and other supplies for pets and pet owners. In addition, it had fun events such as a fashion show, “Pupcake Baking contest” (baking for pets), puppy therapy stall and even an adoption camp.
Live performances by local rock bands added a musical touch to the event.
A great initiative we say!
