Venue: Gurgaon
Gurgaon is often slammed for its ostentatiousness. Many do not know about this joint tucked inside the Rajiv Gandhi Energy Park in Sector 29.
This is a cool mud hut feel cafe (bamboo structure) inside a very green park – a glaring contrast to the imposing Kingdom of Dreams a few feet away. This is one of the very few places that serves breakfast along with other standard meals.
We went for breakfast and had Stuffed Chila, Vegetable Grilled Sandwiches and Tea. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The Chila, served with mint chutney, and a Dosa style mashed potato stuffing was good, albeit spicy. The food was filling and satiating.
The USP of this place is its surroundings. The offbeat structure made of natural material and the artistic but Eco-friendly products that they had used as crockery and napkin holder etc. The place wins browny points from us for using coolers instead of air conditioners. The water jug was replaced by glass bottle with happy n colorful prints. The bill came in a paper mache glass and saunf in hard coconut shell.
Finally on a busy week morning this little heaven does help to set the diners on a peaceful start.
