Saints n Sinners is our latest discovery in Gurgaon’s addas for drinks/food/live performance etc. Located on the ground floor of Global Foyer Mall, Saints n Sinners turned out to be a surprise package for us. It’s a pub that is not exclusive to young or hep crowd. In fact we would not mind taking our family there for a weekend lunch. The ambiance is pub like but still there is a familiar, homely feel to the place that creates an instant connect.

We went on a Friday evening for a couple of drinks but spent the good part of the evening enjoying the live music by a young band over drinks, starters – followed by dinner and dessert. The music is not so loud that you can’t talk and the ambiance is not so dark that you can’t see your co-diner.

Not big on cocktails, we stuck to our scotch and soda for drinks. Though the extensive bar menu was enticing and we thought of trying some fancy drinks, we kept it for another day. We ordered fish sesame and smoked chicken crostini for starters. Both the dishes were well made. While the sweet n sour coating on fish had strong flavors, the subtle taste of crostini topped with black olives provided the balance.

Like a typical Dilliwala we ordered a combo of naan, dal makhni and paneer for maincourse. Well, they score really high on basics. Right from food to music to hospitality, they have their basics right. The vegetarian fare was as good as the non veg one. We loved the combo – it was just right. The naan is served in a dimsum steamer. We found it really cute. 🙂

We ended our dinner with a Tiramisu. The presentation was an Instagrammer’s delight, with tiramisu in a wine glass served in plate with franigipani flowers. The dessert tasted as great as it looked.

Saints n Sinners serve good food with decent music. Their approach towards encouraging fresh talent is praise worthy and give us a reason to visit this place again.

A little birdie told us that they are coming up with Sunday brunch. And how can we not visit.
