Courtyard by Marriott Gurugram Downtown is hosting a Sunday Brunch with cartoon characters from Nickelodeon at Downtown Kitchen & Bar.

We were invited for this event and were impressed with the extensive buffet that included soups, starters, cold cuts, sandwiches, Indian and Western main courses, grills, desserts and many many other items.

The huge choices ensured that there is something for everybody. We tried whatever we could and on our special request, the chef sent us fried fish. The crispy whole fish was the star of the lunch.

We would also recommend the Potato & cream cheese soup, Chermoula marinated roast chicken, Subz biriyani, cheeses and cold cuts and the cup cakes. The tastes of the ingredients had not been killed with heavy spices and sauces. Hence it was possible to taste a substantial part of the spreads. Just like our last visit at The Courtyard Grill the food and hospitality was top notch even this time.

To commemorate the event, actors dressed as Motu-Patlu greeted the guests and happily posed for pictures. Cutouts of cartoon characters as well as small cards with cartoon characters were placed on the food items. We do think that more could be done to integrate the theme with the menu.

That said, the brunch is an indulgence and if you are in a mood to pamper your family and the self – go for it. Below is a headsup:
