It is quite surprising as to how food is a reflection of a person’s emotions. TGI Fridays has aptly captured the upward swing in the mood during many a weekends. Somehow we did not ever write about this place.
So, to make amends, we had a light dinner here last Friday evening and are promptly posting this review. We ordered a Classic Lamb Burger and Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp.
No complaints about the burger, the bread was fresh and the meat patty succulent. The lettuce and pickles added the right amount of zing. The fries were a bit limp though. The Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp was a photographer’s delight. We love the shoo-shoo sound the sizzle makes on hot iron platter. The combo with Colby salad, bell paper and mashed potatoes is wholesome: protein – starch – veggies. The chicken was soft and tasty but the mashed potatoes were a little uncooked and lumpy. But when we pointed this out, this was changed and we were served a smoother and was tastier mashed potato. And this preparation fell in place with our expectations from TGI Fridays. Overall the Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp is a must have.
A surprise dessert on the house was also served. It was a combo of a brownie and ice cream with some jelly. This dish not only satiated our dessert craving but after all that grilled and roasted, the dessert was a planet cleanser.
We are coming back to TGI Fridays soon and be on the look out for our review of the Gurgaon outlet, of this famous American chain.
