Winter is here. The morning fog is a testimony. The evenings are chilly. And the appetites have opened up for gorging on rich and sinful food. Give n that winter is the season for variety in vegetables, fruits and not to mention the season of major Indian festivals, it is the time to binge.
We spent a leisurely evening at the outdoor seating at Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Gurugram over a lavish dinner. “The Courtyard grill” is back with a kitchen in the open along with a well stocked bar. The live musicians only enhance this already perfect setting.
We were with a bunch of friends and started our evening sipping our scotch and mocktails over some delicious starters. For non vegetarians it was ghee roast chicken bruschetta and gilafi seek tacos while for vegetarians it was palak patta chaat and charcoal bharta bunny chow. Now about this bunny chow, well it was the star dish in our opinion. Hats off to the chef to make something so uniquely tasty out of brinjals. Highly recommended.
For main course while there was soya chaap and veg kebabs for vegetartians, we hardcore carnivores had a gala time with king prawns, half spring chicken and barrah kebab. The show stopper here was pork ribs rechado – melt in mouth pork ribs that left the bone effortlessly and was glazed to perfection.
The limited menu ensured the focus on taste and quality and almost no confusion to the palette. The dessert apple jalebi with kesar kulfi was a perfect end to this delicious dinner.
The grill sounds like a great place to be, and such delicious food! I am hungry just reading your post. Sounds delicious 🙂
I’ll have some ghee roast chicken bruschetta. Sounds delicious.
I love that they serve vegetarian meals. That bread sure does look good.
Wow really, vegetable kebabs? That’s so nice. I love kebabs!
Sounds yummy!! Being a foodie I can’t wait to check out this awesome place.
I have never tried to eat a vegetable kebab but it sounds really delicious, I am going to go in this place and will try it.
My mouth is watering! Too bad I don’t live close by. Omnomnom.
Yum! My husband eats meat, and I don’t. We love finding places that cater to both vegetarians and meat-eaters, especially when everything is so well prepared.
Now this looks like an amazing looking place to go for a meal. I am loving the look of their meals, I could definitely tuck in myself.
This place sounds amazing. I especially would love to try the pork ribs rechado! Thanks for the recommendation!
