Radisson Blue Plaza Mahipalpur is our goto place for Sunday Brunches at NYC  or for Kebabs and Indian dining at The Great Kebab Factory. Recently they have come up with a new bar The Orb. The Orb’s design is in oval shape with the bar at the center of it. The decor is opulent and cannot go unnoticed even if you are a few pegs down. It’s blue, bright and dreamy….very Saanwaria (Remember Bhansali’s movie) like.

Lets get to the business. The bartenders were very friendly and they were constantly serving the guests on this busy night of their launch week. We saw how they make their signature cocktail Khopdi. Absolutely gimmicky, this is a rum, palm sugar and chilli based drink and is way more than just gimmik. The taste was good, sugar moderate and a definite kick of alcohol that is mostly missing from cocktails. We also tried Chamba booti – Gin and kaffir lime cocktail. Very refreshing and tangy. We’ll keep it for a summer evening. Did we mention the sweet n salty lotus stem wafers they served with these drinks… don’t miss it, they are delicious.

Along with these amazing cocktails, we had some finger food. Prawn Sushi, chicken pizza and Bruschetta were all fresh and delicious. None of the dishes were screaming chilli or oil and we liked the subtle taste immensely.

We would highly recommend The Orb for folks who love their cocktails and are looking for an exceptional experience when they hang out with their buddies over delicious food and drinks. The Orb is another feather in the cap of Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi.
