Whenever you ask people how their impression of a place one of the first things they will talk about is the food.  And the foundation of any strong culinary heritage is street food.

As a part of our #Food issue,  We have made out mouth-watering list of street food delicacies from around the corner of India.

1. Momos

Momos, a Tibetan dish, now become the hot star of Indian Street Food.  You will find these momos at every corner of Delhi. Momos are tasty dumplings made with both veg and non-veg fillings. If you visit Delhi must try Momos at Ram gurung and Pritam Chatri’s Momos.

2. Phuchka

The other names of Phuchka is Pani puri or Gol gappa. A deep-fried hollow sphere with a delicious mixture of potato filling and tamarind water just gives your tummy a yummy treat.

3. Vadapav

A favorite snack of Every Mumbaikar. Vada pav, with green chili, is a famous Street food across the country. you will find this simple but very tasty street food on every corner of India.

4. Poha Jalebi

Poha-Jalebi, Yes, the famous Indori poha and Jalebi is a very famous street Foods in the MP. A healthy yet delightful snack with some namkin and sev on it. If you get the chance to visit to Indore then try Samosa and Kachori chat also.

5. Chhole Bhature

Delhi is famous for its street Food. Here’s another famous street food Chhole Bhature, which will give you a yummy treat. A spicy chickpea with fried Kulcha is usually taken in the morning as breakfast in Delhi.

6. Litti Choka

A twin brother of Daal Bati in looks, Litti Choka is a traditional street food from Patna, Bihar. It’s Soul Food for Patna people. Coal-baked balls of wheat flour and ghee (clarified butter), served with a spicy aubergine, onion, and tomato mash.

7. Idli Chilli Fry

Idli chili fry is nothing but the Fried Idli with some vegetables and green chili. It is served with Different chutneys and curd on it. You will find this on the streets of Pune.

8. Ganthiya

Ganthiya- a Gujarati’s Pride. A famous street food snack now available at every corner of the country. You will find this Ganthiya in every major city of Gujarat such as Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Jamnagar. It is served with fried green chilies or Shambharo and spicy curry.

9. Kathiyawadi Ghughra

Originating from Jamnagar, a crunchy but smaller than samosa, this Kathiyawadi Ghughra is a very mouthwatering snack. If you want to try a real taste of this snack you will have to visit Jamnagar. Deelip Bhai’s Ghughra is very famous for this snack. Jamnagar is also famous for its Bread Katka.

10. Dabeli

Ah.. the last one is my favorite. Kutchi King of snacks- Dabeli. Dabeli is a very famous street food in Gujarat. It is known as the Indian Burger, filled with spicy mashed potatoes and chutney.
