Launch of Travelholic Travel Magazine

Date: 11 Aug 2018
Venue: The Lalit Hotel

We know that people are travelling more than ever before. And some of us think that the print media is obsolete. But wake up to smell the print ink! TRAVELHOLIC is a new travel magazine that was recently launched by RYN Media. While holding the printed publication we get the perking smell of a fresh paper magazine.

The launch at The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi, was a cool affair. The event was graced by Sudesh Verma, BJP spokesperson; Nitin Tyagi, MLA from AAP. In their short speeches, both these incumbents spoke about the universal appeal of travel and India’s huge potentials in this area. Television star Prince Narula upped the glamour quotient and his speech was extremely endearing. He spoke about his travel aspirations as a child. That was a deja vu moment for many of us. The celebrities unveiled a blow-up of the first edition of TRAVELHOLIC and formally inaugurated the magazine amidst cheer from the assembled guests. The evening concluded over drinks and dinner.

Coming back to the first edition of TRAVELHOLIC, we see that it is a balance between travel options in India and abroad. For instance, there is a piece on Meghalaya with breathtaking photographs. And then there are interesting takes on backpacking through Columbia or retail therapy in Europe. To explore travel at various levels, the magazine carries separate sections on local gastronomy as well as shopping. There is also a standalone article about a “Travelista in Saree”. Quite wholesome content we say with something for everybody.

More power to books and magazines and travelogues and TRAVELHOLICs. As per Nishant, the chief editor, TRAVELHOLIC is in ode to addiction to travel and we couldn’t agree more.

I myself love reading from a physical magazine. I prefer the printed one because it doesn’t strain the eyes as compared to the digital magazines nowadays. It’s just so sad that here in my country, magazines are slowly turning into digitals. 🙁 So kudos for still printing! Good luck!

This is so interesting. And since more and more people are travelling as each day goes by, what better way is there to appreciate this than actually launching a travel magazine?
