Venue: Cha Bar – Oxford Book store & Starbucks CP

The Cha Bar cafe at Connaught place is part of the Oxford Book Store. Not only books and food, the cafe also provides limited space for celebrating events for small gatherings like Book Launches, DVD releases and painting and photography exhibition, etc.

We recently witnessed Delhi Drum Circle performing in this small space at Cha Bar. This made the already busy Cha Bar even more crowded. Nonetheless the beat and rhythm of drums added a youthful vibrancy to the cafe and we saw people letting their inhibitions go and dancing, clicking and generally having a good time.

They also had a stall, selling handmade craft items like incense sticks, sling bags, soaps, key chains, quirky notepads, etc., many of which looked like crafts from North East states of India.

There is more music happening at CP, albeit impromptu. A bunch of people occupied a table at Starbucks, A Block, CP, one evening last week and started strumming a guitar and singing. They were rendering old Hindi songs.
