Dinner with Muzaffar Ali And Meera Ali at Maashra
Muzaffar and Meera Ali have opened up their homestead in Gurgaon and set up a tent restaurant “Maashra”. Maashra offers a fine dining experience in line with the royal cuisine of Awadh. We recently had a 6 course meal over 4 hours here. Sitting in Gurgaon, it was travel to another space in another era.

Karni Mata Temple is perhaps the most popular destination in Bikaner. Karni Mata is a local avatar of Goddess Durga. But the temple has gained a reputation for housing approximately 25000 rats inside the temple premise. This site has been covered by many international travel programs mostly on this account and has visitors from all over the world. We wanted to see for ourselves whether it was just another “rat race”. We stand humbled.

Our stay at Hotel Gaj Kesri – an Art Hotel in Bikaner
Gaj Kesri crudely translated would mean -“King of Elephants”. We recently stayed at Hotel Gaj Kesri, part of Basavana Art Hotels, in Bikaner, Rajasthan for three days. It is about 30 minutes from the Bikaner airport and very close to the desert. Art meets comfort and luxury at Hotel Gaj Kesri and it felt like oasis.

Italian National Day Celebrations at The Italian Embassy in Delhi
Italian National Day was celebrated at the Embassy of Italy, New Delhi. We were invited to an evening reception organized to mark the event. The Ambassador of Italy Lorenzo Angeloni addressed the audience and spoke about amity and cultural exchange between India and Italy. 14th Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META), 2019 concluded with a grand awards night. Kamani Auditorium was full to the brim with META team, META jury, actors and theatre lovers to watch this annual extravaganza. The event had a star studded setting what with luminaries from the field of theatre coming together for the love of the art. Ila Arun, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sushma Seth, Swaroopa Ghosh and many other thespians were on the Red Carpet for the META finale.
