Sunder Nagar is a little off the way for us. But when we were told about this new resto-bar Number 8 in the rather sleepy Sunder Nagar, we thought it was worth a shot. Hence, to ring in the last weekend, we decided to visit this place and put up a review.
Monsoon is finally here. Everybody has his own style of enjoying this short stretch of heavenly weather every year. Informal, a café at Janpath has introduced Monsoon Specials. Informal is an outlet by the guys who own Imperfecto. Given our great experience at Imperfecto, we decided to visit Informal and try their offerings of Monsoon.

The WelcomHotel Sheraton in association with the celebrity bartender Shatbhi Basu organised an American Whiskey and Tapas evening. We were invited and had a unique experience.
The North Campus area has sprouted countless restaurants in the GTB Nagar area. We have tried quite a few of them and are frankly impressed. The ambiance, the service and most important – the food keep bringing us back here. Most of them serve vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. And this may be a deterrent for some diners who are not comfortable eating at joints serving non-vegetarian. This one is for them and for anyone who fancies sumptuous food of the vegetarian variety.

Given its popularity we decided to dine here recently.

There are lots of dining – shopping – dessert options mostly on the fairy lights illuminated and festooned road opposite to Jama Masjid. Sense of Spirits is a relatively new place here and we dropped in on a sultry Saturday afternoon to feed our hunger and quench our thirst.

While Karim’s at Jama Masjid is perhaps the most popular restaurant, we wanted an alternative. For Ramzan 2016, we dined at Al Jawahar, just ahead of Karim’s.

It’s a matter of time that Shahpur Jat gets a new identity. Known to be a designer garment centre, this place is emerging as a food hub as well. We have visited a few eateries in this area in the recent past and have been most impressed. Last week we tried the food delivery service Boom Foods that operates out of Shahpur Jat and have one more from this area in our kitty.
West Delhi deserves way more discussion in the food circles. Whenever we discover a prospect in West Delhi, we are all excited to try that out and put up a review. London Street Kitchen is a food delivery service operating out of Rajinder Nagar. With the hope that they would bloom into a full restaurant some day soon, we decided to try their food delivery.
The vegetarian food scene is admittedly awesome in India. However, just in case you are a little overexposed to Dal Makhani or Shahi paneer, there are a host of new options in Delhi NCR. Burma Burma at Cyberhub serves vegetarian food. The cuisine certainly has Indian influences hence it sits nicely on our palates.
We keep scouring restaurants in Delhi NCR. And once in a while we land up at a place that makes our efforts worthwhile. Greenr at Shahpur Jat is quite a match for that design laden area. Simple and stylish, its definitely worth a try.
Ice creams are screaming out to be the succour for this hot summer season. Icy Fusion is a chain of ice creams parlors from Kolkata. They have opened their first branch at Rohini Sector 3 and we dropped by in the heat of last Saturday afternoon.
