Bishnupur located in the district Bankura of West Bengal is home to terracotta architecture built by the rulers of the Malla dynasty. The temples were built in the 1600 and 1700 hundreds and are presently under the care of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). We were visiting Amatra By the Ganges in Haridwar. Everybody who heard that we were visiting Haridwar, said in unison – “Don’t miss Ganga Aarti”. Ganga Aarti clearly is a must-do activity in Haridwar. We therefore had to view this ritual and see how worthy was the repute.

Italian National Day was celebrated at the Embassy of Italy, New Delhi. We were invited to an evening reception organized to mark the event. The Ambassador of Italy Lorenzo Angeloni addressed the audience and spoke about amity and cultural exchange between India and Italy. Given our love for the works of Raphael, Michelangelo or da Vinci, we could not agree more.
Hyderabad – the city of Nizams is famous for pearls and diamonds. For foodies like us these pearls and diamonds are in the hidden treasures of the food items that this city had to offer. One such dish is Jouzi Halwa. Truth be told, we had no idea about this dish before we visited the city to review Holiday Inn Express hotels. But once we had it, we realised Jouzi Halwa is one of the best things to eat in Hyderabad.
Dastkar Ranthambore evolved out of a need to rebuild the communities in Sawai Madhopur area of Rajasthan who had been displaced due to the creation of Ranthambore National Park for endangered tigers. While Jungle Safari is the thing to do at Ranthambore, a visit to Dastkar, Ranthambore is highly recommended.
