Amrita Kaur: From Dusk to Dawn
Delhi is getting a rather special musical experience this October. Amrita Kaur comes to the historic Purana Qila for From Dusk to Dawn, the third chapter of Inkpot India’s Songs of the Stone series. The two-part concert is designed around two very different moments of the day — sunset on 10 October and sunrise on 11 October.
The evening concert will feature Punjabi folk, ghazals, Sufi and contemporary music as the sun goes down, while the morning session will move into Gurbani, bhajans, Sufi and spiritual music in the quiet of dawn. And the setting is just as much a part of the experience – the concerts will take place within the historic walls of Purana Qila, bringing together music, heritage and the changing light of Delhi.
