An Ode to Music – Christmas Concert by The Capital City Minstrels

The Capital City Minstrels, one of Delhi’s leading choral groups, are welcoming the Christmas season with their special winter concert series titled “An Die Musik – An Ode to Music.” These concerts are conducted by Nise Meruno with Riddhiman Dutta as the assistant conductor.
This series celebrates the beauty and power of music through a mix of classical, contemporary, and Christmas compositions. The first half of the concert highlights the diversity of choral music, while the second half brings festive cheer with much-loved Christmas carols. According to conductor Nise Meruno, the concerts aim to honour the “gift of music” and share the joy it brings.
The performance will feature well-known works such as Franz Schubert’s “An Die Musik”, Carly Simon’s award-winning “Let the River Run”, and Moses Hogan’s soulful “Hear My Prayer.” The Christmas segment will include classics like “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” the nostalgic “Somewhere in My Memory” from Home Alone, a lively “Jingle Bells Calypso,” and a powerful arrangement of “O Holy Night” by Nise Meruno.
