Baarish Returns to Delhi with Midival Punditz, Malini Awasthi, Kutle Khan and Pavithra Chari

As Delhi prepares for the arrival of the monsoon, Baarish returns with a new chapter that celebrates rain not merely as a season, but as a feeling. Conceptualised and produced by Excurators, Baarish: Season 2, Chapter 1 promises an immersive evening where music, storytelling, fragrance, food, and culture come together to recreate the romance, nostalgia, and sensory beauty of the Indian monsoon.

Set against the backdrop of The Upper HSE by Tivoli, the event brings together a carefully curated programme inspired by the sights, sounds, and emotions associated with rain. Audiences can expect an evening filled with monsoon-themed performances, cultural conversations, experiential installations, and culinary experiences designed around the spirit of the season.

A major highlight of this edition is the much-awaited return of Midival Punditz to the live stage. Widely regarded as pioneers of India’s electronica movement, the Delhi-based duo of Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj have spent over two decades blending Indian folk and classical traditions with contemporary electronic music.

For their special Baarish performance, Midival Punditz will be joined by acclaimed artists Malini Awasthi, Kutle Khan, and Pavithra Chari. Together, they will present a musical journey inspired by the changing moods of the monsoon, weaving together folk traditions, contemporary sounds, and evocative storytelling through music.

Beyond the performances, the evening will feature Baarish & The Culture of India, a specially curated conversation exploring Indian textiles as expressions of cultural identity and heritage. Visitors can also experience The Smell of Rain, a unique sensory session by OLFA that culminates in the unveiling of a fragrance inspired by the essence of monsoon and includes a live perfume-making experience.

Adding to the atmosphere will be a monsoon-inspired mixology showcase along with premium food and beverage experiences available throughout the evening.

For those who love music, culture, conversation, and the magic that accompanies the first rains, Baarish promises an unforgettable celebration of the season.
