Baul Music – Folk Music & Dance Performance by Lakshman Das Baul
IIC cordially invites you to an enchanting evening of Baul Music with Lakshman Das Baul, a renowned Baul singer from Birbhum, West Bengal.
Baul music is a soulful and spiritual tradition rooted in rural West Bengal and Bangladesh. This mystic oral tradition blends folk music with profound philosophical themes, preaching love, oneness, and divine connection through powerful lyrical expressions. It has notably influenced Bengali cultural heritage and the works of Rabindranath Tagore.
