Becoming: Akar Prakar’s Inaugural Exhibition at Its New Delhi Gallery
Gallery Akar Prakar moves to a new space in Defence Colony, New Delhi, opening its doors with Becoming, an inaugural group exhibition curated by Siddhi Shailendra.
Bringing together six celebrated artists – C. Douglas, Debasish Mukherjee, Ganesh Haloi, Jayashree Chakravarty, Leang Seckon and Manish Pushkale – the exhibition reflects on artistic evolution as an ongoing process of transformation. Their diverse practices come together around ideas of abstraction, memory, landscape, ecology, architecture and history.
The new gallery space has been designed by Architect Ashish Karode and Design Atelier, bringing together architecture, light and material to create an immersive setting for contemporary art.
