The Polish Institute New Delhi, in collaboration with the India International Centre Film Club, proudly presents a curated showcase of Polish films as part of Europe Weeks 2025. From 21st April to 8th May 2025, immerse yourself in award-winning Polish feature films and compelling documentaries, all screened at the prestigious India International Centre in New Delhi.
This exclusive series not only celebrates Poland’s cinematic brilliance but also explores profound cultural ties between Poland and India, spotlighting artists and thinkers who left lasting impressions on both nations.
Film Screening Schedule
Featured Highlights
- Feast of Fire (21 April): A heartfelt drama about two sisters overcoming disability and finding strength. Winner of multiple awards including Best Debut Actor and Best Film at Polish Film Festival 2023.
- Ultima Thule (23 April): Set on Britain’s most remote island, this film is a poetic reflection on grief and solitude. Awarded Best Director at Koszalin Festival.
- Song of Goats (28 April): A moving story about love, debt, and rural life on a Greek island. Multiple international accolades including Best Film at Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival.
- Imagine (30 April): A visually stunning exploration of trust, imagination, and navigating life without sight.
- Chitraanjali (2 May): A fascinating documentary on Polish artist Stefan Norblin, who enriched Indian royal palaces with his art during WWII.
- Enlightened Soul (8 May): The inspiring journey of Wanda Dynowska (Umadevi), a Polish theosophist and freedom advocate who became a beloved spiritual figure in India.
