Cross Connections, a showcase of antique art and textile

Gallery Vayu presents Cross Connections, a showcase of the personal collection of Mahijit Singh & Nalin Tomar, co-owners of the Delhi-based antique art and textile gallery, Krishna. The exhibition will be on view starting 16th April (Thursday) and runs upto 30th April (Thursday) 2026 at Gallery Vayu, Lodhi Road.
Cross Connections brings together works from their four-decade-long engagement. The exhibition focuses on hand-painted, printed, mordant-dye and resist-dyed textiles. It does not attempt a comprehensive survey, but reflects a consistent approach recognising quality with clarity and pursuing it with persistence. Over time, works from Mahijit Singh & Nalin Tomar’s collection have entered significant public and private collections in India and internationally, including the British Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.
The exhibition continues Gallery Vayu’s focus on textile traditions and material histories, with attention to process, skill and the life of cloth.
