Dance with Space: An Evening of Dance Appreciation

Dance with Space is an evening of dance appreciation presented by eminent Bharatanatyam artist Malavika Sarukkai. The lecture-demonstration invites audiences to look “into dance” rather than simply look “at dance”.
Through the presentation, Malavika Sarukkai will explore the artistic and creative choices involved in envisioning dance, offering audiences a closer understanding of movement, space and the creative process.
She will be accompanied by Neela Sukhanya on nattuvangam, Krithika Aravind on vocals, Nellai Balaji on mridangam and Venkat Subramaniam on violin. The light design is by Sharad Kulshreshta.
