A Theatrical Performance
Dante Beyond Borders (English / Ancient Italian (the original text of the Divine Comedy), Hindi/ 55mins)Inspired by the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Dir.Anna Dora Dorno. Original dramaturgy by Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola. Dante Beyond Borders is an Italian Indian theatrical co-production, supported by the Italian Institute of Culture in Mumbai, born from the collaboration between Instabili Vaganti and Ahum Trust and inspired by the Divine Comedy of the great Italian poet, Dante Alighieri, whose 700 years anniversary after his death is celebrated this year all over the world. The performance explores different artistic languages: experimental and physical theatre, Indian classical dance, cinema, video art, and electronic music in order to bring the spectator into Dante’s otherworldly journey through Hell.
