Dilli Ki Diwali 2026: Two Days of Festivities, Drone Show and Bhajan Clubbing at Connaught Place

Delhi is getting ready for a grand Diwali celebration! The Delhi Government and Delhi Tourism are organising Dilli Ki Diwali – Sabse Nirali, Milkar Manane Wali, a two-day public festival at Central Park, Connaught Place, on 6 and 7 November 2026. The celebration promises a mix of traditional festivities, cultural performances and technology, bringing Delhiites together to enjoy the festive spirit. One of the highlights will be Jugmug Diwali, planned on both days. On 7 November, visitors can also look forward to a mega drone show and bhajan clubbing, adding a modern twist to the Diwali celebrations.

Competitions and Cash Prizes

Delhi Tourism has also announced three competitions to encourage residents, photography enthusiasts and content creators to participate in the celebrations.

1. RWA Rangoli Competition

Registered Resident Welfare Associations can create rangolis using eco-friendly materials between 5 and 6 November.

• Golden Diya Award: ₹71,000
• Two Silver Diya Awards: ₹41,000 each
• Three Bronze Diya Awards: ₹21,000 each
• 25 Special Awards: ₹11,000 each

2. Shoot ‘n Shine – Photography Competition

Capture your favourite Diwali moments and stand a chance to win:

• Golden Frame Award: ₹1,01,000
• Two Silver Frame Awards: ₹51,000 each
• Three Bronze Frame Awards: ₹21,000 each

3. REEL It – Reel Making Competition

Content creators can participate by making and uploading reels of up to 45 seconds.

• Golden Lens Award: ₹1,51,000
• Two Silver Lens Awards: ₹1,01,000 each
• Three Bronze Lens Awards: ₹51,000 each

The suggested themes include eco-friendly celebrations, sustainable décor, Delhi’s heritage, community spirit and kindness. The last date for submitting entries for all three competitions is 6 November 2026, up to midnight.
