The Karun River is the largest river and the only navigable waterway in Iran. Many Biblical scholars believe that the Karun River was one of the four rivers of the Garden of Eden. But climate change, water transfer plans, dumping, and discharge of urban sewage into the Karun River put the Karun at risk of destruction. Collab. CMS Vatavaran.
