Echoes of Past and Future – A Group Exhibition of Modern & Contemporary Art

Echoes of Past and Future, a group exhibition of modern and contemporary art. The exhibition will open with a preview on Friday, 24 April 2026 at Divine Art Gallery, New Delhi, and will remain on view until 10 May 2026.

The exhibition brings together works by well-known Indian artists such as Raza, Ram Kumar, Souza, Krishen Khanna, Sunil Das, A Ramachandran, Paramjit Singh, Anjolie Ela Menon, Manu Parekh, Himmat Shah, and others. It also includes selected works by senior contemporary artists including Yusuf and Ashok Bhowmick, among others.

The show presents a wide range of artistic styles and ideas. The works include paintings, drawings, and sculptures that reflect different periods and approaches in Indian art. The exhibition allows viewers to see both older and newer art practices side by side.

Artists like Anjolie Ela Menon present calm and thoughtful figures, while Manu Parekh’s landscapes show strong use of colour and energy. Sculptures by Himmat Shah add a strong material presence to the show. Together, these works create a mix of different visual voices and experiences.

Echoes of Past and Future offers visitors a chance to look at how Indian modern and contemporary art has developed over time, and how different generations of artists continue to shape its direction. Together, these works not only echo the past but also gesture towards evolving futures and emerging visual possibilities.
