Vadehra Art Gallery is excited to present a solo exhibition of new works by Faiza Butt, a British–Pakistani artist renowned for her thought-provoking commentary on culture, identity, and history. Titled “You Miss More Than You See”, this exhibition explores the dynamic between technological advancements and human experiences, questioning how digital culture reshapes our relationships with presence, history, and aesthetics.
Born in 1973 in Lahore, Pakistan, Faiza Butt’s practice spans a wide range of themes including social, political, and gender-related issues. Her work blurs the line between photography and drawing, creating visually intricate surfaces. She has exhibited globally, with solo shows in London, Hong Kong, New York, and more. Her work is part of prestigious collections such as the British Museum, London, and the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, New Delhi. Faiza has participated in the Venice Biennale three times and has been nominated for the Jameel Prize by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
