Delhi Tourism is set to organise the city’s first bougainvillea flower show from April 14 to April 16 at the Garden of Five Senses in south Delhi.
Different varieties of bougainvillea will be displayed at the event by the Delhi Development Authority, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, New Delhi Municipal Council, University of Delhi, and Netaji Subhash University.
Bougainvillea is a tropical tufted flowering vine often used in gardens, walls, and hedges. The flower has over 20 species and 300 varieties and is often used as Ayurvedic medicine for cough, asthma, and stomach diseases.
