The second edition of the Indian Ceramics Triennale
Theme – “Common Ground”: Engaging with landscapes, identities, and histories embedded in clay, “Common Ground” aims for greater inclusivity, reflecting on practices that mediate between readings of precedent and practice, historical and contemporary, material and ephemeral. The Triennale serves as a platform for showcasing clay-centric projects that transcend boundaries and challenge expectations.
Highlights:
- Showcase of 34 projects by 60+ artists from 12 countries.
- Curated by a team of dedicated practicing artist-curators.
- Diverse programming, including symposium sessions, artist demonstrations, curated films, and engaging workshops.
- Notable speakers from around the world, including Elaine Henry (USA), Andrew Burton (UK), Shanshank Nimkar (Ahmedabad), and Dr. Pheroza Godrej (Mumbai).
The exhibition is open until March 31st, accompanied by a rich array of programming, including a symposium, artist lectures, demonstrations, and workshops, offering a comprehensive approach to engage the public and foster a wider discourse on clay art.
