Karigari re Kalyug! – A Folk Music Performance

Karigari re Kalyug!, the opening performance of Portals – Threaded Realities II, featuring the acclaimed folk musician Jumme Khan, a Jogi artist from Pinan village, Alwar (Rajasthan). Bringing alive the rich oral traditions of Mewat, Khan and his group use instruments like the bhapang, harmonium, dholak, and chinta to explore stories rooted in mythology, history, and modern life.
Blending devotional music with sharp social commentary, the performance tackles issues such as dowry, rural struggle, and digital disruption, infused with humor and rhythm.
