LalitArpan Festival 2025

The much-awaited LalitArpan Festival (24th edition) returns to New Delhi on October 8 and 9, 2025, bringing a powerful theme-“Antah-Shakti: Courage and Hope.” Presented at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, the two-day festival will showcase inspiring dance dramas and ensembles featuring renowned artists alongside emerging talents.
Conceived by Kathak maestro Padmashri Guru Shovana Narayan, Dr. Jyotsna Suri, and the late Ustad Shafaat Ahmed Khan, LalitArpan has been a vibrant cultural tradition since 2002, presenting over 100 torchbearers of Indian classical arts. This year continues its legacy of artistic brilliance, resilience, and soulful storytelling.
October 8, 2025 – Performances
- “Agnipankh” by Shovana Narayan (Kathak) & Shruti Gupta Chandra (Kathak)
Based on true stories of three courageous individuals-an autistic pianist, a transgender professional, and an acid-attack survivor—who are now building lives in the hospitality industry. - “Kathak” by Nrityashree Alaknanda
A moving solo performance by a cancer survivor, embodying hope, grit, and the indomitable power of the human spirit.

A deeply personal Kathak journey by another cancer survivor, embracing transformation and artistic resilience. - “Rashmirathi” by Komal Biswal, Pallavi Lohani, Suparna Singh, Mahima Satsangi, Ruchi Arya, Anil Kumar, Ashish Kathak, Vishal Chouhan, Mayank Gangani & Shovana Narayan
An Asavari presentation on the legendary warrior Karna from the Mahabharata, exploring his struggles, duty, and moral dilemmas.
