Piano Recital by Elia Cecino with Puccini arias by Cheryl Bains

In the framework of Europe Weeks 2024, the IIC will be hosting a concert by the young pianist Elia Cecino accompanied by Soprano Cheryl Bains. Cheryl Bains has appeared in recitals with The Neemrana Foundation in New Delhi.

Elia began his studies at 9 with Maddalena De Facci and at 17 graduated Summa cum Laude from Cesena Conservatory. The following year Elia won the XXXVI Premio Venezia, a competition reserved for the best graduates of the Italian Conservatories.
He is known for his intense and sensitive interpretations of Chopin and Beethoven and won first prize at the València Iturbi International Piano Competition 2023. He is considered to be among the greatest pianists of the new generation. Elia has also performed as a soloist with multiple orchestras such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice, and Israel Philharmonic, among others with critiques bearing testament to his nuanced playing.

Entry will start from 5:45 pm and will be on a first come first served basis.
