Screening of the Polish-Ukrainian-British thriller Mr. Jones
The Polish Institute New Delhi along with Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India and British Council India, extend an invitation to you to join us for the screening of the Polish-Ukrainian-British thriller biographical film “Mr. Jones”, directed by Agnieszka Holland, which will be held in New Delhi at India Habitat Centre on 13th June 2024 at 7 pm.
About the Movie :
Academy Award nominee Agnieszka Holland brings to the screen the extraordinary untold story of Gareth Jones, an ambitious young Welsh journalist who travelled to the Soviet Union in 1933 and uncovered the appalling truth behind the Soviet “utopia” and Stalin’s regime. Initially a regular news investigation, Jones’ quest quickly turned into a life-or-death journey, helping inspire George Orwell’s famous allegory Animal Farm.
