Space Making : Making Space – A Group Exhibition
Space Making : Making Space, a group exhibition curated by Mumbai-based interior architect and exhibition designer Kunal Shah, on view from 21 March to 25 April 2026 at Gallery Art Motif, New Delhi.
Bringing together a diverse constellation of artists, architects, and designers, including RMA Architects, Maitreyi Desai, Stem Design Studio, Pooja Iranna, Araish Jaipur, Indrajit Khambe, Chiaki Maki, Percy Pithawala, Tilak Samarawickrema, and Shalina S Vichitra, the exhibition explores how space is conceived, constructed, and continually reimagined across physical, social, and spiritual dimensions.

Moving fluidly across disciplines such as architecture, sculpture, textiles, and photography, the show foregrounds space not merely as a backdrop, but as an active, evolving construct shaped by material, memory, and human (and non-human) presence. Highlights include RMA Architects’ Hathigaon, a habitat designed for elephants and their mahouts; Pooja Iranna’s layered explorations of urban form; and Indrajit Khambe’s documentation of rural spatial ingenuity through everyday practices.
