Stories from Contemporary India – Film Screenings at IIC
The India International Centre Film Club, in collaboration with FIPRESCI-India, presents Stories from Contemporary India, a special selection of acclaimed Indian films that reflect the country’s diverse voices, regions, languages, and cinematic traditions.
The film screenings bring together stories exploring identity, community, memory, and social change. From personal narratives to wider social realities, the films offer a window into contemporary India while highlighting some of the interesting voices shaping Indian cinema today.
Spread across July, the programme is a good opportunity for Delhi’s film lovers to discover cinema from different parts of the country. And there’s good news for non-members too – the Film Club screenings featured in this month’s programme are open to all.
