The India’s premier theatre school, the National School of Drama (NSD) under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, is set to bring a bouquet of plays, the enjoyable summer gala evenings of theatre connoisseurs in the National Capital during the month of June 2023.

NSD Repertory Company organized Summer Theatre festival 2023 at different locations in Odisha in the month of June 2023 after a highly successful Summer

Theatre festival of Odisha segment, now the NSD Repertory Company bring its great collections of play productions for summer theatre festival in Delhi from 28th June – 4th July 2023 at Abhimanch Auditorium in the NSD premises. The Repertory Company of NSD has been providing a platform to the pass out’s from NSD and from other Theatre Schools in their academic interest and to perform plays professionally. The NSD Repertory Company will enter into its 60th year successfully in 2024.

The festival will be inaugurated on 28th June 2023 with the play “Khub Ladi Mardani Subhadra Khi Zubani” playwright by Asif Ali and Directed by Bharti Sharma.

On 29th June 2023 “Tajmahal Ka Tender” Playwright by Ajay Shukla and Directed by Chittaranjan Tripathy will be showcased.
On 30th June, 2023 the Indian Classical play “Abhijana Sakunthalam” written by Mahakavi Kalidasa and Directed by Prof Vidushi Rita Ganguly.
On 1st July, 2023 “Maai Ri Mai Ka Se Kahun” a musical play based upon Vijaydan Detha story Dhuvidha and Directed by Ajay Kumar.
On 2nd July 2023 the play “Laila Majunun” written by Ismail Chunara and Directed by Prof Ram Gopal Bajaj.
On 3rd July 2023 the play “Bayen” a story written by Mahaswetha Devi and directed by Usha Ganguly.
On 4th July 2023, the festival will be concluded with the vibrant new play production “Andha Yug” directed by the living legend of Indian Theatre Padma Shri Prof Ram Gopal Bajaj.

We are excited to welcome you all to watch the NSD Repertory Company Summer Theatre festival in Delhi from 28th June – 4th July, 2023, at 7.00 pm at Abhimanch Auditorium, NSD Premises. The ticket denomination will be Rs.50, 100, 200 & 300/-.The tickets will be available at the Bookmyshow.com website.
