Tyger Tyger Burning Bright – Wildlife & Art Exhibition

Tyger Tyger Burning Bright, a solo exhibition by emerging artist Virenpratap Singh Bhaika, opens at the Open Palm Court Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, from September 13-18, 2025. Curated by renowned art historian Dr. Alka Pande, the exhibition explores the intersections of art, ecology, and conservation.
On view are 15 evocative paintings, a 30-minute film, Roar and Resilience, and the artist’s sketchbooks, offering a glimpse into Bhaika’s evolving practice. His works juxtapose tigers with excavators, myth with modernity, and tradition with abstraction-powerful images reflecting survival and coexistence.
Special highlights include three featured works by Japani Shyam, daughter of legendary Gond artist Jangarh Singh Shyam, bridging contemporary and indigenous art traditions.
An interactive public discussion on human–animal conflict and peaceful coexistence with the artist and students will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, 4:30-5:15 PM IST (Zoom).
Curator Dr. Pande notes:
“Contrasts and connections define Virenpratap’s art—the tiger and the excavator, the forest and the village, myth and modernity. His practice reflects our fragile planet and the urgent need for balance.”
