Vishwamitra: A Dance-Drama of Transformation
Triveni Kala Sangam presents “Vishwamitra,” a powerful dance-drama production that brings to life the extraordinary journey of King Vishwarath who becomes Sage Vishwamitra. This Chhau-inspired choreography blends martial grace, music, and storytelling to portray how Vishwarath’s quest for spiritual strength leads him through conflict, ambition, and humility until he ultimately achieves the wisdom and title of Brahmarishi.
Audiences will witness dramatic scenes, including
- the clash with Sage Vashistha over the divine cow Nandini,
- the king’s penance and struggles,
- Trishanku’s defiance of cosmic laws,
- Menaka’s mesmerizing arrival, and
- the final moment of spiritual triumph.
Guru Sapan Acharya directs the production, with a script by Kuldeep Vashist and support from Saveri Shri Gaud, Dr. Sangeeta Gaud, Kakoli Gaud Nagpal, and Prince Nagpal.
Entry is free, first-come-first-serve seating only.
