The 12th edition of Habitat Film Festival has just started. The festival is organised by the Habitat Film Club and showcases a wide variety or refreshing pieces of Indian cinema in a host of languages. All the films have English subtitles.
The special features this year are Om Puri Tribute Retrospective, in honor of the recently departed thespian, and a K.A. Abbas Exhibition. They are also holding a host of panel discussions and book launches.
The screenings are taking place throughout the day at multiple theaters inside India Habitat Centre. Recognised films such as Bishorjon that won the Best Bengali Film award and Mukti Bhawan that got a special mention at the National Film Awards are being screened along with offbeat films like Anaarkali of Arah.

Passes for the films are available at their program desk during work hours as well as half an hour before screening, if available. You can also download passes for the respective films from the Habitat Film Festival website. Who said good things in life don’t come free – there is no charge for the passes.
The Habitat Film Festival is on till 28th May 2017 and is a much awaited extravaganza for movie buffs.
