After Damini, no court room drama has been so enjoyable. Arshad Warsi has been playing side kicks to Devgans and Dutts. But this once he flies solo and is better on his own.
Great supporting cast. However the Man of the Match goes to Saurabh Shukla for aptly depicting a seasoned lower court judge who is neither black nor white, neither just nor crooked. Just a normal middle aged government officer.
Music was average, leaving the most popular number for end credits. It seems that the director did not want anything to sway the audience’s attention from the story. Predictable storyline yet so full of surprising twists.
What we really liked is that the film doesn’t try to analyses the legal system in India. It is just the story of Jolly-The lawyer from Meerut who wants to find his place under the sun. The film does not try to be anything at all apart from being an entertaining all age weekend evening watch.
