Ardent lovers of beverages and bakery that we are, we don’t miss any opportunity to try a new cake and coffee place. We spotted this small café / counter in Gurgaon’s Club Patio when we went there to attend Brad and Colin’s (Who’s line is it anyway fame) show hosted by Black Dog on a recent Saturday.
Once we were done with the show, on our way out, we asked this guy are they still serving coffee as it was close to 10 in the night. Luckily they were. So we ordered a Cappuccino along with a Butterscotch Cupcake and a Strawberry Jam Cookie. Piping hot and just about right in bitterness and flavour, the coffee was one of the best we have had recently. The Cupcake was alright but wish there was no sugar butterfly on top. This ornament, although looked good as a decoration, was just too hard to eat. The jam cookie was fantastic. For 12 bucks you can’t get anything better in a patisserie like this.
They have a sitting area out in the open on the corridors with lot of plants and an illuminated pathway. This makes for a peaceful setting and relaxes the diner.
We were happy to have discovered this cool cafe by chance. But we are not done yet… We’re definitely going back to try the other stuff like breads, savouries and pastries at Loaves & Kisses soon.
