Paisa Bolta Hai

MONEY MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND

“Paisa Bolta Hai” deals with a materialistic society where money is the sole criteria to get you respect and affection. The story of Panchoo, a servant in a middle class house could be very effective if dealt and directed properly.

Most of the actors were good especially Panchoo (played by Anoop Gupta), Tara (played by Anuradha A Vyas) and Radhey Gopal (played by Govind Bajpai)

What I liked most about this simple story was the fact that despite all the chaos of winning and then not winning then again winning the lottery, Panchoo found his true love in Tara.

I love Happy Endings.

The family where Panchoo works is shown a little too cruel. Do we have such people in these times where finding and managing a domestic help is such a big headache.

Where are simpletons like Panchoo anymore?

I think the story is dated. It needs to be rewritten to appeal to modern city viewers.

Night, Mother – A Play That Evokes Many Questions

‘Night, Mother, a play directed by Vamika Sachar, has been adapted from a Pulitzer prizewinning drama by Marsha Norman. It deals with some difficult issues that we face, directly or vicariously. Given the heavy topic of the play, we were skeptical about the treatment. All we knew was that we had to watch it.
