Venue: Green Park Market

Reeve

Saturday evening after a play we were looking for a decent place to dine out. Zomato app on our android tab came in handy. Before we could search for restaurants, we looked at the scrolling banners. One of the banners caught our attention. The restaurant called Reeve at Green Park looked promising. The name didn’t explain much so we checked out the menu and prices etc. Looked like we could give this place a shot.

Locating the restaurant was pretty easy. Its on second floor in Green Park main market. The moment we entered we just fell in love with the place. It looked amazing. The restaurant has very cozy, understated decor with an upmarket feel and good vibes.

The restaurant is owned by Shipra Khanna – a masterchef 2 winner. Well the place screamed of taste and class. Glass windows with flowing water looked amazing. Lighting was perfect. For music, soothing Bollywood soft numbers added to the experience.

Reeve - Green Park Menu wasn’t very extensive. They served buttermilk as a complimentary drink. We decided to stick to vegetarian food that evening. From starters we ordered Mayan-E-Kebab. These are kebabs served in small shot glasses. You dig a toothpick in and take it out the way you take out a sword from its cover (Mayan). Nice and gimmicky concept. We loved it despite the fact that it was a little difficult to eat Kebabs this way. We never had kebabs in shot glasses before. The Kebabs were dipped in pineapple chutney. The chutney was great and Kebabs fantastic. They served the pineapple chutney separately too. The helping was great. We had somehow killed our appetite for dinner.

For main course we ordered Bahara Paneer and Plain Naan. Bahara Paneer was stuffed cottage cheese slices in a thick and creamy gravy. We found it a little too creamy buttery for our taste. But still it was way different and tastier than a typical Shahi Paneer or Paneer Butter Masala.

After dinner they served a unique mouth freshener. A milk and Paan based shot which was so tasty it can put a dessert to shame. Probably they saved the best for last.Reeve

Seems like Reeve is relatively new. From entering the place till the time we finished, we were the only diners there. That was a little strange particularly on a Saturday evening.

The owner has taken care of each and every detail. Even the stairs that take you to the washroom on first floor are fragrant of lemongrass and well lit with beautiful tea lights. The whole experience was fantastic, worth each penny spent.

Highly recommended for a sumptuous fine dining experience.
