Three short stories flowing in different directions only to confluence into the fourth one completing a puzzle and making sense of the title – “Ship of Theseus”. Gear up to be spellbound by the sheer mastery of the director Anand Gandhi. Touching a rarely used topic of organ transplant to create a movie is something unheard of in Bollywood. The protagonists had to go through organ transplant, that not only gave them life but altered their outlook. So much so that they cease to be the person they were before the transplant. And yet they were not different people.
If you want to understand the apparent paradox – see the film. The film starts with explaining the paradox of Ship of Theseus. Don’t miss it.
Apart from being the soul food the magnificent cinematography by Pankaj Kumar – both indoor and outdoor is a treat for sore eyes.
We read somewhere someone saying “Ship of Theseus is a hidden gem from India”. We couldn’t agree more.
