Tea lovers in Delhi NCR have another reason to rejoice. There’s a new tea place in town, Tea Trails, which promises to go beyond our beloved masala and ginger chai and has on offer several varieties of fancy teas from all over the world. Tea Trails has opened an outlet in CP’s Sindhia House, Outer Circle. It’s almost impossible for us to not notice a new tea place in Delhi NCR  and we tried this place at the first opportunity.

The decor is simple and contemporary. Some off white walls with tea pots and cups embedded, comfortable chairs and two levels of dining area comprises Tea Trails. They have a tasting counter where one can sample various teas before deciding on what to go with. We tasted White tea, Red Zen tea, Kashmir Kahwa as well as Butter Apple tea. These teas came with small printed cards stating the components and benefits of a particular tea. Most of the teas were apt for a seasoned palate. They suggest food items from the menu that would match a particular tea. It was interesting to know that they have used tea in many of their food preparations as well.

Teas and Eats

We had Burmese tea salad with their White tea and smoky beans on toast with Smoky Chinese Lapsang Souchong. The taste of the food complemented the aroma of the tea. We also tried their Poha cutlet which can be an interesting breakfast item and it went well with our Masala Chai. From food items the Gulkand Bun Maska and Egg Kejriwal were innovative, simple and impressive.

Summer Coolers at Tea Trails

Folks who like summer coolers over regular teas should go for their Mango Bubble Tea. Unlike usual bubble tea that has tapioca bubbles, this one had tangy food poppers that burst in your mouth. Can be fun for kids and kids at heart. To satiate our sweet cravings we had a slice of their pound cake and chocolate cookie with our lemongrass tea. The cake was slightly moist and delicious like rest of the stuff.

This place is a little expensive. However, the comfortable seating, the clean environment and the sheer variety of the menu is worth it.

GifTea Options at  Tea Trails

They also sell a variety of tea leaves in interesting gifty packs.

For “teatotallers” like us Tea Trails is not just a new tea place in Delhi (we are told they are opening more branches). It has the potential to be an adda to hang out with friends and family, or just to sit with a book over sips of hot tea.

You need to update this. Their Sciendia House outlet has been closed for quite a while.

Hi Dilip. Thanks for visiting our blog. Our blog is like an online magazine. The article was written on 19th May 2016. The date is mentioned on top. The blog talks about our experience at this cafe last year. This site is essentially a collection of all the fun events we have attended over the years and we share it with our readers.
It’s not like zomato where we have listed all currently operating Delhi restaurants. So we let it be like this.
