We have written extensively about tea. It’s not a single post but wherever we could, we have poured our heart out in tea cups. But little did we realise that we would be such trend setters and tea would be so in. And why not, the taste and more so, the health benefits of tea are no secret any more. Given the moment of glory tea is enjoying, we thought of gifting some tea this Diwali. To this end, we came across Teacupsfull and got some of their stuff for hands on experience.
The packaging is smart. It bears the subtlety that we relate with tea. The packaging is of course Step 1 for making a good gift. Step 2 – they have a wide variety procured from various tea growing regions of India. From our comfort chai and masala tea, they have the new age health elixir green teas as well as the offbeat oolongs and white teas.
Step 3 – we got an assortment of tea leaves for ourselves and the first that we tried was Darjeeling tea. It was light, with floral aroma and the tea liquor had the golden hue that is typical to good Darjeeling tea. We were constrained to try the tulsi green tea next because of a nagging cold one of us had. In contrast to Darjeeling, this tea was strong, a little bitter and very helpful for clearing the throat. We also tried their Assam tea. It was full-bodied and a strong decoction that is so needed these cool autumn mornings.
Truth be told, we are impressed with the teas. We have a couple of other tea leave sachets in stock – white tea, Sikkim black tea etc. and can’t wait to try them. Also, we are ordering some as gifts for our “tea-totaller” friends. Wish everybody Teacupsfull of celebrations this season.
Nice. I’ve always liked tea! I’ll have to try these for sure. I love to sip on it when it’s cold out.
And it is cold in Delhi now/
And it is cold in Delhi now.
I drink tea every day so this I will be looking into. I like how tea has a lot of varieties.
I love drinking tea on cold winter days. I love teas that have healing ingredients in them.
I hardly drink tea, I am more of a coffee person 24*7. Lekin now when you have mentioned it, I will try it too.
Do – you have a Bengali name and owe it to that 😀
Nice variety! I love tea especially during the colder months
Darjeeling tea is one of my favorites. I think tea to me is like a great artisan latte to others. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with these teas with us.
I drink tea everyday! I love hearing about what else is out there.
Tea is a very common product that is found in every household. TeaCupsFull a great idea for a diwali gift. As it’s the start of winters in India, it would be a very delightful present for our dear ones. I would love to try it out.
I am such a fan of hot teas. They are so delicious, but they are also so nice on cool days to warm ya up.
This post makes me so happy. Everyone loves coffee but I have been a tea drinker most of my life. I love hearing about different varieties
